I have a BA degree, majoring in English and Linguistics. I started doing translations during 2000. At first only part time, but since August 2007 I am a full time Independent Language Worker. I've translated one book (fiction) from Afrikaans to English that was recently published through Xlibris, and revised an Afrikaans manual for a website on parenting. I also translated another manual for the government department where I used to work, as well as many different documents on various subjects. This includes an MA thesis (Journalism). These were mainly for private people, non profit organizations and small businesses. I recently came second in a Proz.com translation contest, translating from English to Afrikaans. I have authored one book in Afrikaans. I believe in giving my best to my clients, therefore I take time reviewing my work before sending back a job done.
