I am a freelance translator who is not only passionate about languages but also reading. Personally, I prefer a good old cosy crime novel but I'm open to many genres. I also read quite a few non-fiction books especially about entrepreneurship and productivity. My favourite author of all times is Agatha Christie...
I hold an MA in translation studies and a diploma in economics and management. In my bachelor thesis I wrote about the difference in Latin American and German crime novels - it was fascinating to realize how society shapes entire genres in the various regions of the world.
Before working as a freelance translator full-time I've worked in internationally operating companies and as a language teacher. I'm a dedicated life-long learner and always eager to immerse myself into new fields.
Besides reading, I spend a lot of free time with a needle - usually a crochet needle. I really enjoy being creative and working on beautiful things.
In my translations, my aim is to enable the reader in the target language to enjoy the book as much as the readers in the original language can do. I adapt my translations to the needs and preferences not only of the target language but also the target audience. I'm really committed to delivering a high-quality translation and excellent service and I'm seeking long-term and trustful business relationships.
