Writers make national literature, while translators make universal literature

Since I was 13 I knew I wanted to study Translation, but I think I was one long before, when I started studying English at 8 years old and translating the very few words I had learned while my father read the newspaper. 

Reading and translating has been my passion since I was a kid, and I was lucky enough to make it my profession. I have devoted most of my translation career to legal texts and thanks to that experience I acquired experience in strict texts which involve less creativity. Nevertheless I have also translated more flexible texts related to the leisure and tourism industries. 

I am also an amateur writer and I have translated some tales which were not published in Spanish.
