After graduating from University of Hamburg, Germany, I joined the Computer Science masters program at University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ. Back in Germany, I started a career at IBM, where I could serve in different roles, ranging from SW development to Sales and Project Services. After 35 years at that company I retired in summer of 2019. During the last 2 years I have practiced my translation skills as a member of Courseras Global Translator Community, adding more than 200.000 words of German subtitles to online Coursera classes (mostly in the Computer Science area). Now I have started to translate Science Fiction stories and novels from English to German.
