I have been translating professionally since late 2010, before which I was completing a Bachelor of Arts program majoring in German with a Russian concentration. Since starting, I have worked on a variety of German-English translation projects for several clients, most recently having been working exclusively with one outsourcer contracting with the US government, for whom I have been translating various legal and academic documents, among others, from German to English, as well as performing proofreading and editing of translations from German, Russian and Ukrainian into English. As a professional translator, I pride myself on delivering accurate translations that convey original meaning as precisely as possible without losing readability in the target language. As an avid reader, I would also appreciate the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills to bringing works of literature to a new audience, and in the process further expanding on those skills as a professional translator.
