How would life be without literature?

Imagine this, you have found a book in a language that you can't read, maybe it's even an English book that others won't understand kust because their English level isn't high enough what would you do, you would translate it, but what if the translator while translating, interprets the book in their own way and the main idea would be lost in the depths of the unknown, that is how it usually is. I am a young Russian girl who just loves to read and it fascinates me how imaginative the writers can get when they write their amazing books, how their work can truly touch you to the core.
