Fully-qualified native French speaker offering French to English and English to French translation, with a preference for literary translation.

aka Rosa Matilda. Translation has formed an extensive part of my training and is an activity I am passionate about. I have been involved in various translation projects over the years, I have recently translated into French short-stories by Conan Doyle (The Extracanonical Works) as well as adaptations for children of some short stories by the same author (The Six Napoleons, The Engineer's Thumb, The Speckled Band) which are all available in ebook format from most platforms. I have also translated The Wonderful Visit and The Island of Dr Moreau by H. G. Wells. 

I am a fully qualified teacher of English and French as foreign languages with degrees and certifications obtained both in France and the UK. I have been teaching mostly at A-Level/post-baccalaureate level for more than ten years.

I also hold the equivalent of a M.Phil in Victorian literature and have published papers on the sensation novel, fin-de-siecle culture and New Woman writing.
