Monty the monster is very excited.

Christmas is coming and it is his favorite time of the year.

First he writes a list.

He has to buy some presents for his friends.

He has to buy some wrapping paper and some ribbon and some bows.

He has to buy a Christmas tree.

He has to buy some decorations for the tree.

He has to buy some treats for Christmas day.

After he writes the list, he goes shopping.

He is able to buy all the things on the list.

When he gets home he is very busy.

First he has to decorate the tree.

He puts some colored balls on the tree.

Then he puts some tinsel on the tree.

Then he puts some Christmas lights on the tree.

Then he puts a big silver star on the tree.

He puts it right at the very top.

The tree looks very pretty.

Next Monty has to wrap all the presents.

He puts wrapping paper around the presents.

He puts ribbon around the presents.

He puts a bow on the presents.

Then he puts them under the tree.

The presents look very pretty.

Monty is finally ready for Christmas.

He is very, very, very excited.

He can’t wait for Santa to arrive.

He can’t wait for his friends to arrive.

He can’t wait to open his presents.

He can’t wait to give his friends their presents.

And he can’t wait to eat the Christmas treats.

Monty decides to go to bed.

He knows that he has to be asleep when Santa arrives.

If he is still awake, Santa might not come.

So Monty closes his eyes and goes to sleep.

When he wakes up, it is Christmas day.
