I have majored in Language Studies with focus on Translation and Interpreting with excellent academic performance. I decided to study languages because I have been very fond of books since my early childhood, and also because learning and teaching languages is a real pleasure to me. In college, I had the opportunity to connect my passion for books with my passion for English language through Translation. I had four years of Literary Studies, encompassing Brazilian, Portuguese, English, and American Literature, and a whole year dedicated to cultural aspects of English-speaking countries. After graduation, I have studied Literary Translation at an Institute (Casa Guilherme de Almeida) whose mission is to disseminate the great relevance and art of this field of translation, and I have been working as a proofreader and translator at a Translations Company. Besides Literature, I would love to translate works of the Natural Sciences, Psychology and Sociology fields. I have professional experience with law and technical translation, and my intention is to widen my experiences by finding an author interested in having his or her book translated into Brazilian Portuguese by means of my passionate and dedicated work.
