I am an Italian scholar and teacher specialised in Medieval History and Art History, with a strong interdisciplinary interest in the relationships between history, literature, and visual culture. My academic career has developed across Europe, combining a Franco-Italian perspective with a particular focus on the cultural exchanges between the two countries during the Late Middle Ages, especially around the XIVth century.
I recently completed my Master’s degree in Mondes Médiévaux, culture historique et mondes médiévaux at Université Savoie Mont Blanc, a programme co-accredited with Université Lyon II, Université Lyon III and the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, graduating with the distinction "Très bien". This degree builds upon my previous Master’s degree in Storia dell'Arte at the Università degli Studi di Udine, which I completed with 110 cum laude/110. I previously obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Beni Culturali from the University of Udine (110 cum laude/110) and a Franco-Italian Double Degree in Studi italo-francesi - Professioni della Cultura e dei Beni Culturali / Études franco-italiennes from Université Clermont Auvergne (distintion "Très bien").
My research interests focus primarily on medieval cultural history, with particular attention to Franco-Italian relations - cultural, literary and artistic exchanges. I am especially interested in the ways in which artistic representations and literary traditions interacted and circulated across geographical and cultural boundaries. My approach is deliberately interdisciplinary: I consider history, literature and art history as complementary perspectives that, when combined, allow a more nuanced and complete understanding of medieval societies and their cultural worlds.
Alongside my academic training, I have gained experience in several cultural and academic institutions. I completed curricular internships at the Soprintendenza Belle Arti e Paesaggio del Friuli-Venezia Giulia and at the Museo del Duomo in Udine, as well as participating in the archaeological field school of USMB at the Abbey of Entremont. I have also participated in university life as a member of the Quality Assurance Commission and the Orientation Committee for the Art History programme of UNIUD, and as a tutor supporting blended and distance teaching. In 2025, I participated in the 69th Semaines d’Études Médiévales organised by the CESCM, Université de Poitiers and CNRS. In April 2026, I also participated as a trainee in the Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Valorising Medieval and Renaissance French Books through Language Education at UNITO.
Languages are central to both my academic background and my research. Italian is my mother tongue; I have an advanced command of French (bilingual) and English (C1), as well as B2-level Spanish and German, and intermediate knowledge of Latin; every domain is certified by language diplomas. Alongside my academic training, I have developed professional experience in both education and cultural heritage. Since 2025, I have worked as a language teacher in French secondary education, teaching Italian as a second foreign language in several private and public middle schools and high schools.
My profile therefore combines academic specialisation in Medieval History and Art History with international research and practical teaching experience, as well as multilingual competence. My objective is to develop projects that bring together medieval studies, cultural history, visual and literary culture, international academic exchange and language education between France and Italy.
