This book is meant to be a companion and an encouragement to all who are struggling with Lyme disease and the intensity in of their fight.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.”-Psalm 23:4-
Lord, the news of this diagnosis of Lyme disease has overwhelmed my heart. I know that “yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4) I feel that I am walking in the shadow of death because this diagnosis overwhelms me. I am so grateful to know the answer to the scary symptoms that I have been experiencing, but please, Lord, comfort my shaky heart. Scripture promises that “the Lord will go before me and that the God of Israel is my rear guard” (Isaiah 52:12). I am not alone in this fight before me. Lord, while I feel that everything around me has changed, I know that your covenant of peace is with me. Even in the news of this diagnosis I trust you, Lord. I trust your word. “’The mountains may move, and the hills may shake, but my kindness will never depart from you. My promise of peace will never change’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” (Isaiah 54:10, GOD'S WORD) Amen.
