Orlando Grossegesse holds a Master of Arts and a PhD in Romanist Philology / Communication Science (LMU, Munich, 1986; 1989). Since 1990, scholar at Universidade do Minho (UMinho, Braga). Areas of research: German Literature and Culture Studies; Portuguese and Spanish Literature; Comparative Literature and Culture; Translation / Migration Studies. Main publications (author) on the works of Eça de Queirós (1991) and Saramago (1999; reed. 2009). Main translation work in literature (narrative): Enrique Vila-Matas, Mário Sá-Carneiro. Portuguese Poetry (D.Dinis, Sá de Miranda. Antero de Quental, Camilo Pessanha, Fernando Assis Pacheco).
