Italian native speaker Translator

Having always loved languages since I was very young and studied many of them at school: French, German, Latin and a bit of Arabic at University. I am also biligual in Spanish, being born in Venezuela and raised in Italy by a Venezuelan/Italian family.

I studied in a languages specialised high school in Rome, Italy, where I studied English, French and German, where she dealt with lots of literature and translation in all three languages, including Latin. I then studied for her BA in foreign languages (English and German) at La Sapienza, University of Rome, where I graduated with First-class honours. During my studies at La Sapienza I fell in love with Audiovisual Translation and decided to pursue my studies in the industry. At that time there was no Italian university which offered such a course, and for this reason I decided to move to London where I have been living since 2014. I enrolled to City, University of London where I attained her MA in Translating Popular Culture and Audiovisual Translation (English-Italian). The translation topics addressed were varied: subtitling, dubbing, voice-over and screenplay, other than literary genres such as children's literature, fantasy, science and crime fiction.  I also specialise in legal, web and translations for sustainable brands - organic skincare and ethical fashion.
