GAIA BRIVIO - ENGLISH-TO-ITALIAN TRANSLATOR / SPANISH-TO-ITALIAN TRANSLATOR

Gaia brivio

Gaia Brivio is 25 years old with Italian nationality.
She has always studied foreign languages, since she was at high school: English as her first language, French as second language and German as third language and this has made her a great linguist.
In 2008, when she was only 18 years old, she moved to London in order to improve her skills in English, where she worked an studied  at Shane Global School for almost three years.
Then, in 2011 she got the IELTS exam and she passed the admission test to London Metropolitan University. However, due to personal problems, she had to move back to Italy, so she decided to begin her studies in Milan, where she enrolled in 2012.
In 2012 she worked for International House: she was employed to assist the Centre Exams Manager with organising Cambridge English exams within the state school system. This also involved regularly translating documents which were published on their websites.
During  2012/2013 and 2013/2014 academic years, she worked as an English teacher at a kindergarten, teaching to 3/4/5 year-old children.
Occasionally she has also worked as a hostess at conferences and congresses, trying her hands in her first interpreting services.
She  lives in Italy at the moment and she is about to finish her third year of university at IULM University in Milan, where she studies Interpreting and Translating with English and Spanish.
She also attends classes at SSML Carlo Bo, school for interpreters and translators, where she is improving her translating and interpreting techniques.
Her plan for 2016 is to start an upper graduate course in Translation in London, where she strongly desires to work as an interpreter and translator for the next few years.

Author review:
Gaia made a wonderful job, she kept a good communication and showed real concern on providing a good translation. She even made the effort to rhyme where she found a poetry piece, I am happy with the result and looking forward for others to enjoy the Italian version of my book as well.
