Having finished my degree in Translation and Interpreting in Spain, I am currently doing a Master in Audiovisual Translation and I am interested in Literary Translation.

During my studies, I did an intership for a Film Festival and I was in charge of creating the subtitles for short films. In addition, I collaborate as a translator for two websites: Global Voices (a website that publishes international news) and TED (a global set of conferences about different topics that are broadcast online and translators from all around the world participate to create the subtitles in different languages).

Moreover, as a part of my Translation Studies, I did a paper about the impossibility of translating the book "A year in the merde" and in my paper I explain how we can choose the right set of strategies in order to get a proper translation that will be appreciated by the readers of the target language. The main problem to translate this book was the humour and the puns that appear in the book so thanks to this paperwork I learn many different strategies to deal with the translation of humour.

Finally, I am passionate of literature (both reading and creating it) so I think I have the motivation and the capacity to do a good translation work.

Author review:
I could not be more satisfied by Beatriz's work as she provided an awesome translation. It has been a long process but she has always been very available and never hesitate to ask questions in order to make the best translation possible. We had also trouble with the epub format and she did not hesitate to spend a lot of time working on it and together we managed to find a solution. I highly recommend Beatriz and I already know that I will think of her to translate my future books.
