Sample text:

How did that happen? I mean, I was hopeful; it was the third date after all. That's the alleged rule when the fledgling relationship steps up to a physical one. But, we had hardly had three dates. A chat up as she was my waitress during my extended meal. Clearly I fancied her from the moment I walked in and she showed me my table. Our three dates followed, a meeting for coffee before her shift the following day that was date one. A drink after her restaurant shift two days later that was date two. Neither had lasted more than an hour. Then last night and yes, I was hopeful. It's been a few months since the last time. That was a brief fling.
