Sample text:

Meditation is currently practiced in various cultures around the globe.  In this chapter, you will learn where and when actually meditation began.

There were wall arts discovered by archaeologists that prove that meditation existed in the Indus Valley during approximately 5000 to 3500 BCE.  The wall arts show people in various sitting positions that are similar to what we now distinguish as postures used in meditation.  A lot of the figures on the wall art were sitting with their legs crossed, their eyes were not closed but were slightly narrowed and their two hands gently resting on the knees.  Historians also discovered several 3,000-year-old Indian scriptures that describe techniques in meditation.
