In Depths

My dears,

The night is passing by, but I am still adding addresses to the list. I want to make sure that nobody is short of this last work. I wouldn’t have nothing against it laying unread in your inbox forever. Still, I’m sure many of you will assort it in the anthologies that will proclaim me suicidal. So be it. The only thing that matters is the truth, and the truth is way darker than the sin which I am about to commit.

Tamed Valley is a shell in which lives the evil that drained out of me everything that made me human. Before I realized it, it was too late. Now I can only try to end the suffering. Life desecrated by such knowledge is unbearable.

I owe this manuscript to her. To her, my poor Dejana who ended her life as a tragic marionette, too weak to resist the temptation. I have to warn you about the horror which lurks and rages at everything that enjoys the privilege of being alive, alive in a sense which befits our understanding of the reality.

Author review:
Débora is great translator, and I recommend her to all authors looking for foreign readers and markets. She did great job in precised time, was very cooperative during the process, and showed a great interest for the manuscript itself - which is basic prerequisite for a good translation.

If you ever get a chance to work with her, don't miss it.
