French-English-Spanish translator and book lover!

Hello,

I am a French translator, I have a Master's Degree in Translation Studies (French-English-Spanish) from the University Paul Valery in France. In order to discover and learn more about new cultures, which is a great asset for a translator, I travel a lot. So, I currently live in Auckland, New Zealand.

I have excellent writing, reading and comprehension skills in native and source languages. Moreover, I have a cultural knowledge of English and Spanish speaking countries. I have worked for several translation agencies, in France and in Los Angeles, USA, where I translated various types of documents. I also worked as project manager, so I have great time management skills. 

My main areas of expertise are:

• tourism: translation of a published map of Santa Monica; translation and proofreading of VVF holiday resorts website (EN>FR, FR>EN),
• automotive: translation for Hyundai cars (EN>FR),
• legal and medical: translation of a medical expert assessment for the court (EN>FR),
• pharmaceutical: translation of courses about galenic sciences (FR>ES),
• business and marketing: translation of sales training documents (EN>FR),
• financial: translation of several interviews regarding European banks (FR>EN),
• audiovisual (as part of a course): subtitling of extracts from "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (EN>FR).

I read all the time, I have a real passion for books and I would love to translate some! Many people don't speak foreign languages and many books are worth reading but are not translated. Thus, I would be very happy to translate them and transport people into new stories!
