Hello!

My name is Sonia Floris. I was born in Sardinia, Italy, 29 years ago and I currently live in Italy, in a town near Venice.

After getting my Bachelor's degree in foreign languages in 2013 at the University of Cagliari, in 2016 I achieved a top grade master's degree in Translation at the University of Urbino. I specialized in translation from and to English and Spanish language. 

For what concerns my linguistic skills, I can guarantee high levels of precision and accuracy both in English and Spanish thanks to my studies and my experiences abroad. More specifically, in 2013 I lived in London for six months working as a reception officer, while in 2016 I lived for three months in Spain working as a reception.

Through all these years I have gained quite a good experience working as a freelance translator, reaching high level of professional qualities such as precision, commitment and flexibility. In my spare time I also like to use my skills for voluntary translation (for the TED platform, to give an example).

Regarding more personal attitudes, I am very passionate about other languages and cultures. In fact I use translation as a resource to discover new worlds and to connect them with each other. I really love traveling, reading and exploring new places. I am a really empathetic and attentive person with a gentle and listening-oriented spirit.
