I am a PhD in Language Studies, Master in Linguistics, postgraduate in Portuguese and Applied Linguistics and graduate in Literature. I am the Director of the Academic Integration Division of the Postgraduate and Research Department of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). I develop research that has as its object discursive strategies in the occupation of the media space seeking the social transformation that adopts as a theoretical and methodological contribution the Critical Discourse Analysis; the socioconstructionist approach to identity, Inter- national Sociolinguistics, and Narrative Theory. I am a translator and I have translated, so far, four books for Editora Vozes
