Hello everybody, I am an author myself, my first novel is scheduled to be publish during the first half of 2017, I am passionate about grammar, lexicology and all of the cogs that make the wheels of a good text run smoothly.

Greetings everybody, like I said before, I'm an author myself, and I have a hobby, I correct translations, now please, allow me an explaination: if I'm reading, let's say Virginia Woolf's The Lighthouse, I'll read the Brazilian translation at the very same time and correct the said translation: you see, it gets on my nerves that some expressions are loosely translated, or sometimes just plainly lost in translation and never replaced with anything.

It's my core belief that the translator has the moral duty to deliver a text as rich or, sometimes, richer, than the original, never poorer.

I work hard not to translate a text word by word, but to bring it the Brazilian reader and present it written in such a way it feels like the book was actually written in Portuguese, not translated from English to Portuguese: that is my ultimate goal, to make a book sound as natural in Portuguese as it sounded in English.

I am passionate about grammar, lexicology and all of the cogs that make the wheels of a good text run smoothly, which pretty much means I devoted a huge portion of my life to the works and functionalities of language.
