German, but really world citizen and book lover

Good day!

My name is Nina, I am native German, from Berlin, and currently live in Canberra, Australia. Books are my first and biggest love. I have studied English literature and language for seven years, and I am generally highly passionate about reading, writing, and text in general. I have studied literature in the picturesque town of Marburg, Germany, with an exchange semester in Norway's Kristiansand, and continued my university career in Sweden for my M.A. in English literature with an exchange semester at ANU, Canberra, where my focus was more on Australian literature and history.

My main experiences with translation are within the video game localisation industry, academic abstracts in the field of the financial market, and website localisation.

However, my biggest personal interest lies with the translation of books. Working closely with an author, working on the words, lines and pages, finding the best equivalent possible and creating a beautiful translation that pleases me and the author ... that sounds compelling!
