I have experience with translations into Italian from my internship as well as from the University years, during which I studied Linguistics applied to the Italian language, and Europeans and Asiatic languages. I translated some excerpt from Bessie Head, Arundhati Roy, Jhumpa Lahiri, Julia Alvarez, Tim Winton, Mo Yan, Lu Xun, among others.
Starting from the month of May I successfully applied to enter the TED Translators Volunteer Translators Program, working on subtitles from English, mostly, French and Spanish into Italian. It is important to me because I am really having the opportunity to use the Linguistics I studied and apply it to the translation process, which requires a lot of analytic thinking with respect to grammar, syntax, morphology and semantics.
On this constant path to sharpen my understanding, I took the IELTS exam and earlier the Cambridge C1; I took the French Language Certification DELF B1 and I am studying for the DALF C1; I also took a German certification course for the levels A1.1-A1.2. Recently I learned how to use the famous software SDL Trados which I plan to use more and more in the next future.
