I am a Spanish native speaker and soon-to-be graduate in a double degree in Translation and Interpreting and Tourism at the University of Córdoba (Spain). My academic background has equipped me with a strong command of English and German (both at C1 level), as well as intermediate French, and a deep understanding of cross-cultural nuances—an essential asset in literary translation.
My passion for literature is longstanding, both as a reader and as a communicator. I view translation as both a linguistic exercise and a literary craft. Through my studies and personal projects, I have translated a variety of texts, and I am now excited to devote more time to literary translation through platforms like Babelcube.
In addition to my academic training, I have gained international experience through extended stays in the United States and Germany, including working as a receptionist in a multicultural environment. These experiences have strengthened my sensitivity to tone, register, and cultural subtext, all of which are crucial when adapting literature for new audiences.
I have also volunteered with Translators without Borders (TWB) and UN Volunteers, where I translated English content into Spanish. This not only honed my skills in clarity and accuracy but also reaffirmed my commitment to meaningful, purpose-driven translation.
I am open to working on fiction (romance, historical, thriller, young adult, etc.), memoirs, and non-fiction with a creative angle. I am especially drawn to stories that explore identity, place, or the human experience in all its complexity.
If you’re looking for a translator who values language as much as storytelling, I would be thrilled to collaborate on your work and help share it with a wider Spanish-speaking readership.
