Hello everyone. My name is Luca, I am Italian, 36 years old. I studied foreign languages during high school, English, French and Spanish. Afterwards, I decided to move from my hometown in Sicily to Rome, to start studying Chinese language and culture at "La Sapienza University of Rome". In 2011 I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Chinese language; shortly after I decided to spend 3 months in Beijing, at "Beijing Foreign Studies University, with the aim of improving my spoken Chinese as much as possible. Back in Italy, I continued my course of studies, attending a Master's Degree in Chinese language and translation, graduating in december 2015 with honors and defending a translation thesis of a legal text from ancient Chinese (early Qing dynasty) to Italian.

During these years, I've been in China three times:

• the first and second time, I went to Beijing for three months to attend a chinese language course;
• the third time I went to  Hangzhou, to attend again a Chinese language course, but this time for the duration of one year. During this year, I also worked as an English language teacher in a chinese primary school.

I also worked as a freelance translator from Chinese/English/Spanish/French to Italian, translating different kinds of documents, from thesis to flyers.
