I am a Spanish and Portuguese to English translator who has a passion for education, market research, and business.

I combine over thirty years of experience with educational publishers (Pearson Education, Cambridge University Press, and The McGraw-Hill Companies) with an extensive language background and a Certificate in Spanish to English Translation from NYU to produce highly accurate and readable English-language translations. Having more than five years of experience working as a freelance translator, I also used my language skills throughout my publishing career to communicate the concerns of teachers, administrators, and business executives in Latin America to senior management. My English-language writing and editing skills developed in the course of holding editing and content development positions. I am an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction, and am also passionate about global development initiatives. In addition to my NYU Spanish to English translation certificate, I hold a Certificate in TESOL from the World Learning SIT Graduate Institute and a B.A. in Spanish Education from Douglass College. I lived in Mexico City and have traveled extensively throughout the Spanish-speaking Caribbean, Central America, Colombia, and Brazil. I'm a Voting Member of the American Translators Association, the New York Circle of Translators, and the Delaware Valley Translators Association.
