Born in a smalltown in the northeast part of the region called Møre og Romsdal in Norway. I chose the path of literature and linguistics in my twenties, after realizing that it is my passion and what I do best. I learned other languages very fast, and decided to pursue a career in linguistics and literature to have the opportunity to work in literary translation or as a professor later on. After finishing my masters degree in Spanish linguistics and literature from the spanish-speaking world, I am happy to say that it has been a successful five years.
As my expertise is within the Spanish language, I also speak and write English fluently. And as a native speaker of Norwegian, I have most experience in translating from the two languages firstly mentioned to Norwegian. Apart from this, I studied latin as a part of my degree, where the focus was on how to translate ancient classical latin texts.
With this, I can say that I have a good background for taking on translating jobs, where I also have a good eye for details, and I always work with good structure.
