Forward-thinking Industrial Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience performing quality translations to Technical manuals and general documents

I was born in San Tomé, Anzoátegui State, Venezuela on November 10, 1957.

I started my elementary studies at the Dr. Agustín Rafael Hernández school in Anaco, my city of residence, at 7 years old (1970). Then I started the baccalaureate at the Dr. José Manuel Matute Salazar high school until the third year. This is known as a basic cycle in my country. Then I continued my studies at Dr. Cruz Del Valle Rodríguez high school where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1975.

Then I started studying as a Maintenance Electrician at the INAPET Institute, in the oil industry. There I graduated in the year 1980 with an average of 18/20.

In 1981 I started studying at the IUT-RC Dr. Federico Rivero Palacios in the area of Electronics. I stayed there for four years and obtained the title of Higher University Technician in Electricity Electronic Mention with an academic index of 5.5 / 9. During my studies I made three relevant projects: A Stabilized Power Source, which would be used in a Temperature Captor also designed by me and a DTMF Keyboard Tester for the GTE Company of Venezuela.

Then I started working as an electronic technician in Vector Computers until 1987 when I started working as a Training Facilitator in CEPET, before INAPET where I started my technical studies. There I worked in the areas of Electricity and Electronics. I designed new training methodologies, as well as new laboratory practices of Electricity and Electronics. There I began to publish technical manuals and to improve the program content and that is where I started to translate technical manuals from English to Spanish. There I worked until 1988.

On January 20, 1989, I joined Corpoven, S.A. PDVSA subsidiary, which would definitively become PDVSA in 1997. I started as Supervisor of the Instrument Workshop of the Santa Rosa Complex. There I worked in all the operational areas of the Anaco Gas Production District, as Instrumentation Supervisor, Area Leader.

In 2004, I was assigned as a Preservation Leader in the construction of the San Joaquin Operating Center. There we began to work on the development of procedures and best practices for the preservation of equipment. Being in these activities I decide to continue my engineering studies and I enroll in the Northeastern University Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho where I graduated as Maintenance Engineer Industrial Mention with an average of 17/20.

The San Joaquin Operating Center formally began operations in January 2012 and I was appointed Superintendent of Maintenance. There I had to conform the team of engineers and technicians who today are responsible for carrying out maintenance activities. Finally I was appointed Superintendent of Laboratories of the San Joaquin Operating Center. During my career at PDVSA I designed and put into service 11 productivity projects. I translated more than 50 technical manuals and worked on the development of more than 40 safe work procedures for the operations of the San Joaquin Operating Center. There I was working until my retirement on November 30, 2017.

Now I am an Independent Senior Consultant in the Industrial Maintenance Area.
