I consider myself a storyteller, as I am an actor and a writer. That is the perfect mix for me: writing and embodying stories, so I can make them alive.

I am João and I'm an actor and writer from Portugal.

It's hard to say when I started writing, as it was a gradual process that began with me loving to write my thoughts when I was a kid and ended up with making a career out of that. I've always wanted to be an actor, but I also liked to tell stories, so very soon I decided that I was going to mix those two areas of interest. I got a Bachelor Degree in Communication and then a Master's Degree in Journalism. After that, I took acting classes and began being an actor who also wrote some original projects.

Since the beginning of 2020, I was invited to write some plays for other directors and that has been growing as a passion since then. I have also translated some plays from English to Portuguese such as Uncle Vanya by Checkov.
