Freelance translator
Well read, well-travelled, well done ;)

Having worked as a freelance translator for nearly 30 years, I would now like to give this a try.

I have translated books and documentes from English, German, Swedish and Danish into Norwegian (bokmål), mostly non-fiction, but also some novels and quite a few children's books. I have a special affinity to the culinary field and travelling, but I have also translatede many books in the "new age" category.

Apart from this, I have written several short stories, many of them published in Norwegian magazines. You find one of them in the anthology De døde danser, Damm 1990. I won the second award in the nordic mystery novel competition, Hjemmet 1995, with the novel I fryktens klør.

I was married to a Swiss for 25 years and spent some years in Berne, Switzerland. I'm now remarried to a Norwegian, and my husband and I love seeing the world.
