I was born in 1979 and raised in Belgium. During high school I already had a passion for other languages and cultures. My favourite hobby is reading books, no matter the language they are written in! Once I finished high school and after a couple of years university (criminology) I decided to be a flight attendant and enjoyed meeting people of different cultures and countries. In 2002 I searched for Adventure in Spain. Leaving my parents' home with a bag pack direction Mallorca where I have lived and worked now for 17 years. I worked for several companies in tourism. Starting as a rep for Thomas Cook, then as a receptionist for a car rental at Palma airport, also in a 5 STAR hotel and as a KAM for the sourcing department for hotel chains located in Northern Europe. In all these jobs I needed to use my skills in languages, spoken and written to communicate with customers, translate for the companies, solve issues and close contract deals. Subscriting to babelcube means for me a way to combine my passion for books with my passion for languages. I'm looking forward to add this succesfull story to my biography!
