I am a translator, a crocheter and an English language teacher in Brazil.

The English language has been one of my passions since early age. Consequently, I became an English language teacher even before graduating in teaching English as a foreign language (College and bachelor’s degrees) at the "University of São Paulo" (USP) in 2007. I am specialized in Translation of English by Estácio de Sá (Lato sensu - 2018). I am currently a graduate student (MA in Applied Linguistics) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo (PUC-SP / with CAPES scholarship), in Brazil.

I have been working as a teacher since 2003 (and as a professor since 2019) and as a translator from English into Brazilian Portuguese language since 2016, especially with subtitling (I am also a volunteer translator for TED Talks: https://www.ted.com/profiles/10513555/translator).

In order to improve my language skills and cultural awareness, I spent some time in the United States in a cultural exchange program some years ago. Although, there is another great way to travel among cultures and acquire knowledge: It is by reading. Hopefully, I will always be one of those who can take people on that journey by translating books into my mother tongue.
