Anna Kropp (née Gräfin von Wintzingerode) was born and raised in Stuttgart. She studied Hispanic and German Literature and Latin American Studies in Seville (Spain) and Hamburg, where she received her M.A.. After completing her studies in 2005, she moved to Seville, where she undertook further studies in teaching languages and did a Master in Translation and Language Mediation for German and Spanish. Since July 2007 she has worked as a freelance translator and gathered experience with texts that range from contracts for turnkey solar parks to webpages for beauty clinics to medical documentation about cancer. In the summer of 2011, she returned to Germany, relocating first to Berlin and later to the coast of the Baltic Sea where she works as a freelance translator and language trainer for German as a foreign language. Her interests include literature, swing dance, snowboarding and cultural history.
