Doug was driving Chloe’s Mercedes since they already sold his Camaro to a neighbor who just turned sixteen.  She is nervous, but she can’t think that anything will go wrong or she might just lose her nerve.  She straightens her red, low-cut dress and looks straight ahead.  The bank is coming up fast.

“Do you know exactly what you’re doing?” Doug checks with Chloe, once more.

“Yes, I remember.”

“Good, we need this to go right the first time, no mistakes allowed,“ Doug says sternly.

“I know, Doug!  I’m not gonna screw up!” Sometimes he treats me like I am incompetent and I hate it.

“Okay, babe, I’m just saying,” he sounds like he regrets what he said.

“It’s going to be fine!” she says.

He wonders how she is so confident.  She hasn’t done this before, has she?

Pulling up to the bank, it looks bigger than it usually does.  It’s a red brick building with double-glass doors and huge glass windows in the front.  Doug and Chloe walk in without saying a word.  As they get to a teller, Doug turns on his gorgeous smile.

“Hi, we’re here to get some travelers’ checks,” Doug says.  “We want to work with Howard.”

After all that time spent on Google, and the bank’s website, Doug knows that Howard is the bank manager.  He has his own office in the back in which he conducts business.  His computer is the one they are going to need to use.  He also has a bit of an affinity for blonde women, or at least that’s what Doug is hoping.  Chloe is his only source of bait, and if she doesn’t distract him, nothing will.
