The school of life

The school of life is a preparatory ground where God prepares us to face life. It's a school the lazy ones would not like to go. Anyone who wants his name to be carved in gold must surely pass through the school of life. Life is full of challenges and it takes the determined mind to survive it. In life, the mountain will introduce you to hill; the hill will introduce you to the rough road which leads to the valley of life and it's in that would God begin to minister to you, teaching your hand how to make wealth, and how to invent things. Sometimes God would purposely take us to the valley where it would be you and him alone to show you mystery, so that when you come out from the valley, you will combine all the experiences of the mountain, hill, rough road, and that of the valley together so that when you stand to talk in this noisy world people will listen to you because you have something to deliver. The world does not listen to people who complain about their situation, but it gladly listens to those that have solution to the world's problem. As you are facing the challenges of life which is also the school of life, try to find out the reason why God allows you into it. The School Of Life teaches us that life is not a bed of roses.

Welcome to “Gethsemane.” Let’s take a look at what Gethsemane means. Gethsemane is a garden across the Kidron valley from Jerusalem. It simply means oil press. But here in this book, I wouldn’t want you to still see it as a garden across the Kidron valley from Jerusalem, but to see it as a garden where God brings out the best in you. If it actually means “Oil press,” then from the pressed oil comes the oil─ (anointing) that breaks the yoke, heals, saves etc., and from that same pressed oil comes the oil of joy and gladness. Until you are crushed or pressed by life, the best of you may not manifest. If Jesus was not exempted from the experience of Gethsemane, then, it shows that none of us is exempt.

The night before going to the cross, he went there with his disciples. I must tell you, they did not go there to enjoy life. It’s not a place of celebration, but a place of crushing.

Trust God, after crushing you in ‘Gethsemane,’ you will discover the greatness in you, and the person he created you to be, his oil in you will begin to yield results. It will begin to break all the yokes in your life, your life will also begin to experience the oil of joy and gladness, and you will stop living in the shadow of your dream. Crown awaits you after passing through Gethsemane; it’s a place where the price is paid.

Never forget that it was in Gethsemane that he said, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death”. (Matt. 26:37). In that same Gethsemane where he prayed: “My Father, if it will be possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will”(Matthew 26:38–39). It was in that same Gethsemane where his sweat was like a drop of blood falling to the ground (Luke 22:44).
