Acredito que o conceito de Deus seja um excelente ponto de partida para nosso estudo. Não importa se você acredita ou não na existência de um ser divino e todo-poderoso, essa reflexão é válida por diversos motivos.
O título deste capitulo já traz uma “pegadinha”. Ela vem de um dos livros básicos Espíritas intitulado “Livro dos Espíritos3”, de 1857, onde seu codificador, que usou o pseudônimo de Alan Kardec4, faz a seguinte pergunta aos espíritos (pergunta 1:1):
O que é Deus ?
Antes de comentar a resposta, atentem comigo para a genialidade da pergunta. Ele não pergunta “quem é Deus”, e sim “O que é Deus” e isso faz toda a diferença. O “quem” daria aquela personificação, aquele Deus de barba sentado no trono, olhando aqui para baixo. Mas não. Ele pergunta “o que”, provavelmente procurando uma definição para esse ser todo-poderoso e já admitindo que ele não pode ser humano. É algo para se pensar, não?
A resposta é fantástica, na minha opinião, mas abre espaço para algumas interpretações:
Deus é a inteligência suprema, causa primária de todas as coisas.
