Crimson could barely remember when it had been nestled securely with its brothers and sisters, high above the ground, in a pine cone shaped boat attached to a very tall tree.  Cold, icy winds began to blow against it, sending shivers through each of the little seedlings. It was a wintry day, indeed- right around the month of January, when the tiny seeds found themselves flying air-bound in their cone shaped boat. After they hit the ground with a quiet thump, all was silent- except for the occasional shrilled screech of a Red-tailed hawk.
