Luftwaffe Eagles by José A. Márquez Periano

Best WWII German Aces

Luftwaffe eagles

Was Luftwaffe really invincible during World War 2? Was it the best air force in history? The Luftwaffe bit the dust during the battle of England, being the first great defeat that the German Air Force would suffer during the conflict. But what made German pilots great? Why could Göring say shouting at the four winds that he was going to defeat the British in such a short time? The German pilots were already veterans of several campaigns, and even before starting the 2nd World War some already had combat experience thanks to the Spanish Civil War, a war that would be bloody and hard, but that would give the opportunity to the future Killed your combat skills. The really interesting thing about the Germans of the 2nd World War is that in each campaign in which Germany participated the Luftwaffe suffered casualties that gradually diminish their combative capacity, losing veteran pilots that he needed to continue the war. Therefore, the pilots who already had combat experience were forced to continue in active service, so it was not uncommon for a combat pilot to participate in the Poland campaign in 1939 continued without rest fighting until 1945. For this 4 Pilots knocked down a total of 1,195 enemy aircraft. Isn't it impressive? Without a doubt the answer is affirmative. That is why the time has come to dedicate an exclusive book to the best pilots of the 2nd World War, to those who crossed the heavens and who fought tirelessly for 6 years practically without rest. There is no doubt that the kings of heaven ... were Luftwaffe's eagles.
