1 to 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
½ tsp coarse salt
½ tsp freshly ground pepper
1 pound medium to jumbo asparagus spears, tough ends removed
Freshly shaved parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 450 degrees f. Mix the olive oil, salt, & pepper in a big re-sealable plastic bag. Add the asparagus & turn to coat all over.
Place the asparagus in a single layer in a shallow pan. Bake for 10 to 15 min. Or only till fork tender. For an added touch, sprinkle freshly shaved parmesan cheese over the hot asparagus.
