HOW TO RUN A PROFITABLE DAYCARE BUSINESS by levi freud

HOW TO OPEN YOUR OWN BUSINESS

How to run a profitable daycare business

Chapter 4: Activities and How To Handle The Kids, Etc.

You should have some reasonable activities for them to do. Don't make it just babysitting. Have some Sesame Street kinds of education. I used the Disney Channel a lot especially on the little ones that we're going crazy crawling everywhere and didn't have enough to do in the morning.

I would put five or six in a highchair, oh, not the same high chair, come on don't start that stuff. Five or six high chairs, and put them in a semi-circle in front of the Disney Channel. They loved that. Then I would put some Cheerios and a little bit of crackers or something for them to munch on while they were watching T.V.

That will give you time to start changing babies, feeding babies by hand or anything else that you have to do.

One of the most important things about running a good Daycare Center is control. If you don't have control over those kids and you've got 12 kids screaming, yelling, throwing crap, running up and down staircases, and jumping off of the balcony; you're gonna be out of business. You're gonna be because you don't have any common sense.
