Big Joe Silver is the Alpha of the Iron Claws and a man with a secret. When Joe's past catches up with him, he is forced to face the decisions he thought he outran long ago. Joe would do anything to protect his family, the Iron Claws, from the Dragon High Council’s constant attacks, but their final strike may be too much for him to bear. Will the mistakes of his past drive him away from the Iron Claws and his forbidden love, Emma?

Emma Hernandez is the badass ex-military strategist of the Iron Claws who’s been in love with Joe since the day they met. When Joe’s past roars back into their world, Emma finds herself pushed away from Joe and the Iron Claws. But everything may not be what it seems. Forced to put everything on the line, can Emma save her club and her man from the Council’s greatest threat?

Sample text:

The wedding was a blur of joyful faces, but Joe Silver, called Big Joe by his friends, kept feeling his smile slip. He was thrilled that his fellow Iron Claw, Caesar, was finally marrying the woman of his dreams, grateful that all of the members of the motorcycle club had survived so many battles against the Dragon High Council, and happy that almost all of the Iron Claws had found their life-long mates despite the omnipresent danger.

Caesar’s wedding celebrated the deep love Caesar found with Nina after so many years of pining. But Joe also saw it as a testament to the team's good fortune that they were still together, continuing to pursue their mission to distribute Puff, the healing drug made from ground dragon scales, to humans against all opposition.

Yet Joe still couldn’t shake off the melancholy that clung onto his shoulders like a misty rain. He hated weddings.

“Come on,” a husky voice broke him from the haze. “Caesar will think you’re not dancing because you hate his music.” Emma Hernandez, his fellow Iron Claw, held out a hand, nodding toward the packed dance floor. The wedding wasn't very large, only about fifty of Caesar's friends, mostly various musicians he'd worked with throughout the years on the road. Colorful lights swirled around the increasingly-intoxicated crowd all grooving to the music of Caesar’s band.

Joe didn’t have to force the smile that always appeared when Emma was around. Just having her nearby helped shrug off his wedding blues.

“He already knows I don’t like his music,” Joe said in his grumpiest voice. “A third grader could write better lyrics.”
