Sample text:

Becky Patterson was getting dressed.  She had just gotten out of the shower, and was getting ready to meet her friend, Pam Snyder.  Both girls were from Redding, California, and they planned to go to out to Whiskeytown Lake for the weekend.

Pam had met some guy at the bar that employed her.  He played guitar, and he was going to Whiskeytown this weekend, too, but separately.  Pam had the hots for the guy, but she wasn’t sure enough about the man to go alone.  Pam had learned a couple of hard lessons while working at the bar.  So, Becky was tagging along, too, as moral support and a way to bail out if necessary.

Becky and Pam had been best friends since fifth grade, and still were.  Both women were blonde, and both were very attractive.  After high school, neither girl’s family could afford to send them to college, so they went to work.  At first, both were working for a grocery store chain.  When Pam turned twenty-one, she went to work for the bar as a waitress.  She made good money, often bringing home more money than Becky during certain weeks.  Tips were good, but Becky had just made cashier manager, which included a raise along with the responsibility.  The girls had been roommates since about six months after they had started working, and their friendship had remained solid.

Now twenty-two, both young women were wondering if there was more to life than work and going out every weekend.

Pam crashed through the front door, in a hurry as always.  “Becky!  Beck-eee!  Are you ready yet?  We have to get there before nightfall, so we can see how to put up the tent!”
