Sample text:

Roberto arrived in São José dos Mascates, around 9 pm, Tuperatama’s time. After picking up his luggage, he went to the counter of the car rental company to get the car he had rented in Tuperatama. His heart was tight, as this trip, unlike so many others, had a personal imprint of fear for what he would have to face. The climate of São José was hot and humid, which for him was new. Tuperatama at this time of year is usually very dry and hot, but nothing like the heat above thirty degrees in the capital of Para Nabuco.

He was more accustomed to bureaucratic travel, for in recent years he had traveled frequently at the head of the General Attorney’s Office. This at a historic moment for Pindoretama, after the outbreak of General Cleaning Operating. This time, however, he came to São José dos Mascates to meet a woman who had tamed his heart as it had not been for a long time. He was still getting a divorce. It had been just his job as a Public Prosecutor who had just wiped out his marriage to Monica.

The way he’d met Nina through her letters was unusual and surprising even to him, who was accustomed to all sorts of new situations without being disturbed by it. There was also the expectation of how she would react to his revelations, not only in the danger she was running but also because of his personal involvement.
