Esmerelda Sleuth (Book Two) by Eileen Sheehan

The Magic Box

Book two of Esmerelda Sleuth's exiting adventures

Esmerelda sleuth (book two)

With her enemies in pre-civil war Virginia still seeking her death, Esmerelda is forced to return to the future only days after wedding Lance.  Because it was necessary to fake her death in order to stop her enemies from following her to the future, her new husband, Lance, was forced to stay behind.  He’d placed a magic box for them to communicate until he found a way to safely be with her beneath the floorboards of the house.

Now, she must find it.

A task that is easier said than done!

“The Magic Box” is book two of the exciting paranormal-romance-mystery-thriller Esmerelda Sleuth Series

What readers are saying:

"5 Stars: Nora is a hoot at the beginning of this book, retelling the return of Esmeralda by Anton. What is this Magic Box that Lance speaks of in a letter given to Esmeralda? I am not sure how I felt about the two police inspectors that showed up at her home and then her work, causing her to get fired. Who are they? Why were they there? What happened with the two inspectors, Esmeralda, and Nora? This second book really surprised me! I cannot wait for the next book! Read and see what happens."

"There was so much going on in this book that I was done before I realized it. I feel for Esmerelda being so far from Lance and having feelings for someone else. I won't say more about that. Don't want to ruin the surprise. This book definitely had lots of suspense. There wasn't much romance because as we know Lance is in another century but there was some stuff. Anyway, this was a great book 2 ,but I cant wait for book 3. I can't wait for Esmerelda and Lance to be reunited. And to find out what Jason has been up to since he's been so quiet."

“He was a good looking guy with raven black hair that was so rich and shiny that it made Lance’s gorgeous dark head of hair seem faded.  His eyes were almost the same; captivating and unforgettable in an eerie sexy way that sent chills all over my body,” my best friend, Nora, said as she lay on the bed watching me pull my thick coppery mane of wild curls into a ponytail, “but not the most congenial. He came in and dropped you off without saying much at all.   That mirror was so small.  I don’t know how he managed to step out of it with you in his arms.  First one leg came out, then the other, and then all of him.  He did it with such ease before he took long confident strides across the floor and gently set you onto that bed like you weighed no more than a bundle of linen while telling me that you had to come back due to attempts on your life.  He said that it would take a while for you to wake up and that when you did, you’d have a whopper of a headache.   Then, he walked back to the mirror.  He turned and gave me a nod and a smile that

almost stopped my heart before…,”  She splayed her

fingers for emphasis.  “Poof!  He stepped back into that mirror and was gone.  Just like that!  I had to pinch myself to make sure that I wasn’t dreaming.”
