I am a focused professional, task-oriented, proactive, and quick in solving problems. I work well in a team, either being commanded as in delegating tasks to co-workers. I am thorough and conscious about the quality of my job, as well regarding the deadlines. With a high cultural level, learning new procedures and routines becomes easier to me, besides stimulating my personal interest in continually growing in personal and professional areas.
Fluent Spanish, learned as a second native language from my parents, immigrants from Chile. It has been improved regularly through constant trips to Chile and Argentina, besides continuous contact with friends and relatives, by social network websites or phone.
Fluent English, learned mostly at Wizard Idiomas language school, but improved and developed in a self-study approach, giving classes at the same school previously mentioned, and a vacation exchange program in Toronto, Canada during July/2012 (at Kaplan International Colleges – PLI Toronto).
I performed translations to Editora Hagnos, Editora Z3, besides material from Compassion Brazil. I also worked translating descriptions of EYO cell phones to a website. I do freelance translations to individuals and to the translation agency BLC in Campinas, SP, Brazil as well.
I have knowledge for translations in literature, religion, IT, technology and the like areas, as well being willing to assimilate new knowledge, if any. In average, I translate about 500 words per hour, with variations depending on the type and complexity of the source text.
I work with the electronic tools Trados 2008, Trados Studio 2009, 2011, 2014, Smartling and Across.
