While "Saudade" is untranslatable, your book is not :)

In the middle of a Portuguese mountain chain lies a small village, Gouveia. With its own river and forests, it's the perfect setting for gruesome murders, magical mysteries, dragon births, royal huntings, and unspeakable crimes. It is also the village where, 18 years ago, I was born and later started working as a community freelance translator. Since then, I have become a tour guide, unrevealing the mysteries of Gouveia to foreign tourists from Australia, Russia, Taiwan, and North Korea, among others.

As a writer myself, I've had the opportunity of writing and translating short stories and poems being my most ambitious project the translation and declamation of José Régio's poem, "The Black Chant", at the European Parliament of Strasbourg. For the past year, and having achieved a professional proficiency in English, I have been a member of TED's translation project, having translated to Portuguese(PT) multiple published TED talks, and a translator and transcriber at Amara platform. I also enjoy helping youtube content creators translate and transcribe their videos, making them available to everyone, regardless of disabilities or native language.

In my free time, I enjoy reading fantastic, quirky, peculiar, dark but somehow magical stories, I'm a devoted fan of George R.R. Martin, Murakami and Neil Gaiman, among others, and I'm a sucker for an amazing book translation! I also like politics, activism, video-games, binge-watching Netflix series, cute dogs and playful cats. Top must-haves on my desk include green or black tea with dark sugar, some homemade cookies or biscuits, almond chocolate, speakers playing some progressive rock/metal during the day or some jazz at night or dawn, and a sleeping kitten that softly purrs while I write.

Looking forward to working with you!
