I am an eighteen-year-old female vampire. Scandinavia was my home since I was born.

I decided to relocate to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, outside a small charming town named Rhoon when I was fifteen years old.

The snow this winter is so deep that humans are not travelling as usual with their dog sleds.

I have not had blood in a few days and I am feeling weak. As a survival rule, I don’t hunt humans from Rhoon because I don’t want to expose myself as a vampire. That would mean having to move again and I like it here.

I decided to go hunting again and see if I can at least have some red fox or deer blood. I hate the taste but I needed to recover my strength.

I walked a long distance from my cabin. A winter storm was hitting hard and the animals were nowhere in sight.

Suddenly I smelled human blood. I spotted two humans from a distance: a stocky-looking Viking male was carrying an injured person in his arms. Fresh blood was slowly dripping on the white snow. They probably had an accident and were lost. I was so hungry that I didn’t think twice. I ran towards them and attacked the male.
