1)     Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2)     To prepare the cauliflower: Place the cauliflower in a bowl with 1 teaspoon oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Coat well. Place on a lined baking sheet and roast 15-20 minutes until softened and slightly charred. Remove and let cool.

3)     To prepare the onions and peppers: In another bowl, add the rest of the oil to a skillet and caramelize the onions, with a pinch of salt, for 5 minutes on low heat. Add the bell peppers and cook until soft.

4)     To prepare the crust: Oil and flour the quiche dish. Place the pastry in the dish, pricking the bottom with a fork. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.

5)     To prepare the filling: In a bowl add the flour and 1 cup water. Whisk together and let sit. In a saucepan, add the remaining water, bouillon cube, sage, turmeric, nutritional yeast, and salt. Bring to a boil. Slowly pour in the flour mixture and stir continuously. Turn the heat to low and continue to stir continuously for 2-3 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and glossy. Add in the cauliflower, vegetables, and crab mixture. Stir well.

6)     Pour into the prepared crust, leveling with a spatula.

7)     Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until springy to the touch.
