Hello!
I'm a brazilian translator and aspiring writer who also happens to have a Bsc. degree in Oceanography. As a translator, I've been offering volunteer translation work to instituitions such as Translators Without Borders and TEDx for over one year now.
I was raised reading the great classics of world literature, and so naturally I came to be interested in language and its intricacies, as well as translating and writing. As such, I have developed a keen sense for the subleties and nuances of written text. Here I offer you a bit of the knowledge I have acquired over the years, transposing whatever kind of text you may provide with the utmost care!
I have a passion for learning and am constantly studying fields as diverse as philosophy, literature, science, mythology and religion. I'm also deeply concerned about environmental issues, having studied and done research on subjects such as climate crisis and coastal degradation during college.
I believe writing is, unlike most other arts, dependent not only on the craft itself, but also on a broad knowledge of the world and the human experience. In this sense, I believe my diverse set of skills and knowledge on many subjects to be an invaluable tool in understanding what a writer is trying to convey, and transposing it into another language.
